Planning & budgeting with modern In-Memory cloud platforms has proven to be more than just a relief to internal IT resource requirements. Organizations are shortening their cycles significantly, driving plans at more granularity, and fostering collaboration up, down, and across the organization. There are no batch runs; everything is real-time.
Upfront investment is also significantly less when driving planning in a fully hosted, collapsed stack and the Time to Value is orders of magnitude less. 12 month deployments are a thing of the past. 6 to 12 week deployments are the new benchmark. These documented successes continue to proliferate.
Organizations don't have to start fresh with SaaS either. The existing on-premise solutions from SAP, IBM, or Oracle, can still exist at the aggregate level and meanwhile utilize SaaS applications to handle planning at the line of business level across geographically distributed contributors.
Steve Lucas, President of Platform Solutions at SAP, and Birst Co-founder and CEO Brad Peters announced a somewhat surprising but visionary (and useful to our clients!) partnership: the first third-party cloud analytics integration with SAP HANA intended to provide customers with instant and affordable analytics in the cloud on the revolutionary SAP HANA® Cloud Platform.
Visionary because there is nothing quite like this on the market. First, Birst’s pre-built SAP connectors including Open SQL and automated analytics engine reduce data management pain by combining data from SAP and other data sources (SAP BW, SAP ECC, saleforce.com, Marketo, and many others) to create a User-ready Data Store and provide a single source of truth. Secondly, Birst’s patented 2-tier architecture can automatically build a User-ready Data Store in SAP HANA and deliver visual discovery, dashboards and enterprise reports across a single business model, accelerated by SAP HANA.
The result is a leading time-tested cloud analytics platform (Birst) running on top of the fastest and most agile data platform on the market (SAP HANA) to enable people to answer useful business questions, quickly and accurately, on the cloud.
Useful to our clients because it is easy to take advantage of and it is affordable. When we speak to organizations who already own SAP, we come across many who have purchased (or are going to purchase) SAP HANA but haven't quite put it to use yet. With cloud-based Birst on HANA, anyone who has an internet browser can instantly pull together data from many different sources, analyze it with minimal to no technical knowledge and discover meaningful insights, instantly. Moreover, thanks to this partnership, many smaller and mid-size companies can now afford to take advantage of the power of SAP HANA on the cloud.
Beautiful. Simple. 100% on the cloud. Affordable.
